A motorist died after a two-vehicle collision in Palm Desert on Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 10 a.m. in the area of 78152 Varner Road.
CHP said the motorist was driving a white Toyota Tacoma when they experienced an unspecified medical emergency. A minor collision with another vehicle subsequently occurred.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where the motorist was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were immediately reported. Authorities did not release additional information about the deceased motorist or the other vehicle involved.
