A 14-year-old boy was critically injured after the electric motorcycle he was riding collided with a vehicle in Fountain Valley, Orange County, on Thursday afternoon, August 27, 2026.
According to the Fountain Valley Police Department, officers responded around 12:44 p.m. to the collision at Talbert Avenue and Second Street.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle was traveling westbound on Talbert Avenue and making a left turn south onto Second Street when it collided with the electric motorcycle. Police said the teen was traveling eastbound in the bike lane from Magnolia Street.
The 14-year-old Fountain Valley resident was transported to a local trauma center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The vehicle driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing.
