[09-18-2026] San Joaquin County, CA – 73-Year-Old Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Manteca

A 73-year-old woman died after a hit-and-run collision in Manteca on Friday morning, September 18, 2026.

According to the Manteca Police Department, officers responded at around 5:49 a.m. to the 800 block of West Lathrop Road following reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

Officers arrived and found Manteca Fire Department personnel providing life-saving measures. Witnesses told police that the driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene.

The victim, a 73-year-old Manteca woman, was transported to a hospital, where she later died. Investigators believe she was walking home from Calvary Church when she was struck.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that could assist investigators to contact the Manteca Police Department.
