[05-06-2024] 22-Year-Old Rider Injured Following Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle Collision in Port HuenemeA 22-year-old rider was injured following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Port Hueneme on Monday afternoon, May 6, 2024. 

According to the Port Hueneme Police Department, the collision happened around 12:20 p.m. near the intersection of Surfside Drive and Port Hueneme Avenue. 

Authorities stated that a motorcycle and a white van had collided in the intersection. The rider, identified as a 22-year-old Ventura man, was found on the ground with severe injuries. He was transported to Ventura County Medical Center in a very critical condition. 

Police said that the driver was uninjured. It is unclear whether speeding, drugs, or alcohol contributed to the crash. 

Further information regarding the collision is yet to be disclosed by the investigators. No additional details were provided at this time.
