A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Sacramento early Saturday morning, October 24, 2026.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers responded shortly after 4:45 a.m. near the 400 block of Bannon Street.
Officers found the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not located, and authorities had not released any suspect information.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity after notifying his next of kin.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
