A woman in her 30s sustained injuries after being struck by a Tesla Cybertruck in Berkeley on Saturday morning, October 24, 2026.
According to Berkeley police, the incident occurred around 9:25 a.m. at Shattuck Avenue and Virginia Street.
The woman was crossing Shattuck Avenue eastbound in the southern crosswalk when a southbound driver struck her.
Police said the driver was traveling at approximately 5 mph and did not see the pedestrian due to sun glare.
Initial reports indicated that the woman was thrown 10 to 15 feet but did not lose consciousness.
She was transported to a local trauma center as a precaution with apparent non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency dispatches indicated that the ambulance traveled without lights or sirens.
Additional details were not immediately available. The investigation remains ongoing.
