[05-22-2024] Minor Injury Reported Following Three-Vehicle Collision Along Highway 44 in ReddingA minor injury was reported following a three-vehicle collision in Redding on Wednesday morning, May 22, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic accident occurred at about 8:00 a.m. along westbound Highway 44 near Sundial Bridge Drive.

CHP reported a minor injury as a result of the crash but did not immediately specify the total number of people involved or possibly hurt.

The incident resulted in bumper-to-bumper traffic along westbound Highway 44. The No. 1 lane, in particular, was blocked due to the hazard caused by one of the vehicles involved being in the fast lane.

A tow truck was dispatched to the crash site to clear the scene. CHP said that traffic flow was back to normal by 8:30 a.m.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
