[05-26-2024] Two People Injured Following Single-Vehicle DUI Rollover Crash in Madera RanchosTwo people were injured following a single-vehicle DUI rollover crash in Madera Ranchos, Madera County, early Sunday morning, May 26, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Avenue 12 east of Road 37 ½.

Investigators said that a black 2010 Honda Civic occupied by a male driver and a female passenger was traveling westbound on Avenue 12 at a high rate of speed. 

The driver then reportedly lost control of the car, causing it to overturn in a dirt field along the roadway before ultimately colliding into a private property nearby.

CHP officers confirmed that both occupants of the crashed Honda suffered minor injuries. Their names, ages, and place of origin were not disclosed at this time.

There is no word yet on if anyone inside the property was hurt as a result of the collision. 

The male driver of the Honda was arrested for DUI. Additional information was not immediately available.
