A male rider was killed following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Laguna Niguel on Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2024.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal traffic crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of Golden Lantern and Hidden Hills Road.
The circumstances behind the incident remain unclear, but the authorities confirmed that the driver of the motorcycle died as a result of it. There is no information about the condition of the driver of the sedan involved in the accident.
All southbound lanes of Golden Lantern from Hidden Hills Road to Paseo de Colinas were blocked off while the authorities investigated and cleaned up the crash site. They were all reopened at around 9:00 p.m. the same day.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. No further details were available at this time.
