[06-23-2024] 60-Year-Old Man Killed After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Vehicle Along 118 Freeway A 60-year-old man was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Moorpark on Sunday night, June 23, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 11:00 p.m. on the 118 Freeway west of Montair Drive.  

Authorities stated that a pedestrian, identified only as a 60-year-old man, was found lying next to the roadway after he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle fled the scene without rendering help to the victim. Witnesses told the responding officers that they saw a large, dark-colored truck driving away from the scene after the collision. 

Police said that the man was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no word yet on the description of the suspect, and the investigators are looking for additional evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Additional information on the crash has yet to be released by the authorities. Investigations are ongoing.
