[06-29-2024] Ventura County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle on Warring Park in Piru

One person was killed, and another was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Piru, Ventura County, on Saturday evening, June 29, 2024. 

According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened at about 5:26 p.m. south of Warring Park. 

Authorities stated that two people, both described as men, were found injured at the scene after being struck by an unspecified vehicle. One of the victims, identified as a 47-year-old Piru man, was declared dead due to his injuries. Meanwhile, the other man, described as a 56-year-old man from Fillmore, survived and was transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition.

There is no word yet on the identity of the driver. As of this writing, it is unclear how the collision occurred or if drugs and alcohol played a role. 

No further details were released, and the authorities are gathering all the necessary details to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
