[07-06-2024] Ventura County, CA – Man Seriously Injured Following Pedestrian Vs. Vehicle Collision in Oxnard

A man was seriously injured following a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision in Oxnard on Saturday night, July 6, 2024. 

According to the Oxnard Police Department, the crash happened at about 9:00 p.m. on Rose and Lockwood streets. 

Authorities stated that a man, whose name, age, and place of origin were not immediately known, suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a car. He was reportedly crossing Rose Avenue when the car hit him as the light turned green. The pedestrian was then transported to a hospital in unknown condition.

The 29-year-old driver of the vehicle that hit the man remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. It is unclear what caused the collision, but the authorities are gathering all the necessary information to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
