[07-03-2024] One Person Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision in TurlockOne person was injured following a two-vehicle collision in Turlock on Wednesday morning, July 3, 2024.

According to the Turlock Police Department, the traffic incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. at West Main Street and South Soderquist Road.

TPD responded to the scene alongside Turlock Fire and AMR medical personnel. When they arrived, they found two vehicles with crash damage at the intersection, one of them being a Kia SUV. 

Authorities said that the Kia driver appeared to have sustained a neck injury and was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance for further medical care. There is no word yet on whether the other driver also suffered injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, including the total number of people involved. It is not immediately known if alcohol, drugs, or speed played a role in the crash.

Authorities closed off the turn lane on West Main Street onto South Soderquist Road as a precaution. Other motorists are advised to stay clear of the area.
