[07-12-2024] Sacramento County, CA – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Midtown

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Sacramento on Friday afternoon, July 12, 2024.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the motorcycle vs. vehicle collision occurred just after 5:45 p.m. in the Midtown neighborhood, near the intersection of J Street and 28th Street.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, including the make or model of the vehicle involved and the total number of people affected.

Police then confirmed that the rider suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident and was transported to an area hospital. The male motorcyclist is currently in critical condition as of this writing. Apart from his gender, no other information about the victim’s identity was disclosed.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle involved appeared to be uninjured and remained on the scene for questioning. It is not immediately known if alcohol, drugs, or speeding played a role in the crash.
