Two people were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara County, on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2024.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the traffic incident happened around 5:22 a.m. at North Refugio Road and Samantha Drive.
The crash involved a four-door sedan and a grey SUV. Authorities stated that neither car had a passenger at the time of the accident. Both drivers reportedly exited their respective crashed vehicles on their own before responders arrived.
The two drivers involved sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital for treatment. Their identities and current conditions were not disclosed.
