[07-30-2024] San Joaquin County, CA – 48-Year-Old Man Killed After Work-Related Accident Near Tracy

A 48-year-old man was killed after a work-related accident near Tracy on Tuesday afternoon, July 30, 2024.

According to the South San Joaquin County Fire Authority, the incident happened at about 2:00 p.m. at the Tracy Material Recovery and Solid Waste Transfer Inc. site on MacArthur Drive.

Authorities said that one of the workers at the transfer station was run over by a tractor for some reason. It is still unclear how or where the incident occurred during the operation. Currently, no details are available about the circumstances of the accident.

The victim, later identified by the San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office as 48-year-old Carlos T. from Stockton, died at the scene. 

No additional details were provided at this time. The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health is currently investigating the official cause of the incident.

A GoFundMe campaign has since been established to support the family of the departed victim with funeral expenses.
