According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident occurred at about 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of 16th Street and N Street in the Midtown district.

SPD responded to the scene after receiving reports of a pedestrian struck by an unspecified vehicle at the intersection. It is still unclear how the accident happened and what the pedestrian was doing along the roadway at the time of the collision.
