[08-12-2024] One Person Injured Following Two-Vehicle Rollover Collision Along I-8One person was injured following a two-vehicle rollover collision in Imperial County early Monday morning, August 12, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 4:00 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 8 near Dunaway Road.

One vehicle, which was stopped on the shoulder, was clipped by another car traveling in the same direction. The impact caused the second vehicle to roll over and land on its side approximately 50 feet off the roadway.

The occupant of the rolled vehicle sustained minor injuries. It is not yet known if the driver of the other car involved was also injured. Neither of the two were identified yet.

No further details were immediately available, and the authorities are still examining all the evidence found to determine the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
