[08-18-2024] Minor Injuries Reported After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 178 in BakersfieldMinor injuries were reported after a multi-vehicle crash in Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon, August 18, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 2:50 p.m. on Highway 178 near Beale Avenue.

Authorities stated that the crash involved at least three vehicles, including a white Acura SUV and a blue Toyota sedan. The crash left one vehicle overturned, trapping one person inside for a short time.

Emergency services responded quickly, and the pinned victim was able to exit the vehicle shortly after the wreck. Injuries were reported to be minor, but one person was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
