An 11-year-old girl died, and five other juveniles were injured after an SUV crashed into a tree in Stockton on Sunday morning, August 25, 2024.
The crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. along the 5800 block of North El Dorado Street in front of St. Mary’s High School.
According to Officer Omer Edhah of the Stockton Police Department, six juveniles were found at the scene. The injured included a 13-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy, two 14-year-old girls, and a 15-year-old girl. All were transported to hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The 11-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities are still investigating who was behind the wheel at the time of the accident, as all the minors were passengers, and no adult was in the vehicle.
