One person was killed, and another was transported to a hospital following a car collision in La Quinta on Saturday night, August 31, 2024.
According to Riverside County Sheriff Deputies, the crash occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Street and Fred Waring Drive.
One driver sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention at the scene. The other driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
