A bicyclist was killed after a collision with a vehicle in Orangevale, Sacramento County, on Thursday evening, September 19, 2024.
California Highway Patrol reports that the victim was on an electric bike heading southbound on Beach Avenue toward Elm Avenue, while a Chevrolet pickup was going eastbound on Elm toward the same intersection.
The bicyclist succumbed to his injuries, while the driver of the pickup was unharmed. Authorities do not suspect that alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision.
The investigation is still ongoing.
