A woman has been arrested for driving under the influence following a crash that injured her and her seven-year-old child in Yreka on Saturday night, September 21, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Interstate 5 at an unspecified time during the night.
The female driver, traveling south in a white SUV, crossed the center meridian and southbound lanes before crashing into a large tree on the shoulder.
Both the driver and her son sustained injuries in the crash. The woman was later arrested for felony DUI and child endangerment. Her identity has not been released by authorities.
