A bicyclist struck by a vehicle in Old Town Victorville was airlifted to a trauma center in critical condition on Tuesday night, October 1, 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. in the area of D Street and Fourth Street, across from the Transportation Center.
The vehicle involved, a blue Honda, sustained damage to the hood and windshield, while the turquoise-colored bicycle was found in the eastbound lanes with a mangled rear tire.
The bicyclist was rushed by ground ambulance to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and subsequently airlifted via a Mercy Air helicopter to an out-of-area trauma center.
The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
