A pedestrian woman was fatally struck by a pickup truck in Fairfield on Wednesday night, October 2, 2024.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:01 p.m. on East Travis Boulevard at Kidder Avenue.
Authorities stated that the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, identified as 44-year-old Angelica M. of Suisun City, was determined to be under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
The driver was booked into the Solano County Jail for vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
