A pedestrian sustained critical injuries after being struck by an SUV in Rancho Cordova on Sunday morning, October 6, 2024.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Folsom Boulevard at Coloma Road, prompting deputies to close the area to traffic.
The driver of the white SUV, shown in a sheriff’s office post with a partially detached front bumper, remained at the scene and was reportedly cooperative.
Authorities advised other drivers to avoid the area and use alternative routes as the investigation continues.
