A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle along northbound Interstate 5, just south of Eight Mile Road in San Joaquin County, on Thursday evening, October 24, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman’s car had become disabled, and she exited the vehicle while awaiting assistance when another car hit her. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
A third vehicle became involved in the incident when it sideswiped the second car. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
