[12-02-2024] Teen Girl Seriously Injured After Being Hit by Car on Hillsdale Boulevard in Foothill FarmsA teenage girl sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car while walking to school in Foothill Farms, Sacramento County, on Monday morning, December 2, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 8:00 a.m. on Hillsdale Boulevard, just south of Palm Avenue.

The teen was a few blocks away from a local high school and middle school when she attempted to cross Hillsdale Boulevard, a busy street during morning and evening commutes.

Authorities reported that the girl crossed directly in front of a vehicle driven by a man in his 20s. The location where she crossed has no designated crosswalks, though a median separates northbound and southbound traffic.

Emergency responders slowed traffic to transport the injured girl to the hospital. No updates have been provided regarding her current condition.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
