[12-20-2024] 36-Year-Old Woman Killed, Several Others Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash Near Harrah’s ResortA 36-year-old woman from Canyon Lake was killed, and multiple individuals sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision in Valley Center, San Diego County, on Friday night, December 20, 2024.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. at the intersection of Valley Center Road and South Resort Drive near Harrah’s Resort.

An 18-year-old male from Escondido was driving a black Infiniti G35 southbound on Valley Center Road when, for reasons under investigation, the vehicle broadsided a green Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on South Resort Drive.

The woman driving the Nissan Altima succumbed to her injuries at the scene. An unidentified passenger in the Nissan was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. The driver of the Infiniti and two passengers were also hospitalized, with injuries ranging from minor to major.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased driver. It is currently unknown whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.

The incident is under investigation.
