A 51-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Oildale, Kern County, late Friday night, December 27, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m. near the intersection of Roberts Lane and Brandon Way.
The man was walking westbound on Roberts Lane when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. The vehicle involved in the collision fled the area before authorities arrived.
CHP investigators have not yet released details about the vehicle involved. The investigation is ongoing.
