A woman was killed after being struck by a big rig on Interstate 5 in Sacramento on Thursday morning, January 9, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just north of Sutterville Road. The incident led to the closure of all northbound lanes on the freeway.
CHP stated that all lanes were reopened by approximately 8:00 a.m. following the initial blockage caused by the crash.
The identity of the woman has not yet been released.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the incident.
