[01-25-2025] 86-Year-Old Hospitalized After DUI Hit-And-Run On Highway 121, Driver Arrested For DUIAn 86-year-old motorist was hospitalized with possible injury, while a Livermore woman was arrested Saturday night, January 25, 2025, following a hit-and-run collision on Highway 121 near Hedgeside Avenue in Napa.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. when a 2015 Subaru Outback rear-ended a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 traveling eastbound on Highway 121. After the collision, the Subaru fled the scene but eventually veered into a ditch near Wooden Valley Road, authorities said.

Officers located and detained 47-year-old Azure E. near the abandoned Subaru. The driver was arrested on felony charges, including causing injury while driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. She remains in custody at the Napa County jail with bail set at $100,000.

The driver of the Mercedes, identified as 86-year-old Nina G. of Napa, sustained possible minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.

The CHP continues to investigate the incident.
