The San Diego Police Department reported that the collision occurred at around 4:55 p.m. on Genesee Avenue when a 39-year-old male driver on a 2016 Mazda 3 traveling northbound attempted to turn left onto a Highway 52 on-ramp in front of a southbound bike.
The e-bike, traveling southbound, collided with the Mazda. The 16-year-old boy and his 16-year-old female passenger riding the bicycle suffered a fractured femur and abrasions, respectively. Both were transported to the hospital, though their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The SDPD Traffic Division is investigating the incident.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
