One person was killed, and another was hospitalized after a truck crashed into a tree and caught fire in Modesto on Monday night, February 10, 2025.
According to the Modesto Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 7:00 p.m. in the area of East Briggsmore Avenue between Parker Ranch Way and Claus Road.
Emergency responders from the Modesto Fire Department arrived at the scene to find the truck engulfed in flames after the collision.
Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital, where one was pronounced dead.
Authorities have advised residents to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
