[02-08-2025] Utility Pole Taken Down After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 68, Extent Of Injuries UnknownA crash resulted in a utility pole being taken down on Highway 68 in Monterey County, on Saturday morning, February 8, 2025.

According to reports, the crash occurred at around 11:48 a.m. and involved at least two vehicles. It is unclear how the pole was taken down.

A man in the driver’s seat of a gray Mercedes appeared to be conscious while awaiting medical aid. Another man, seemingly involved in the crash, was seen on the ground near a black truck but was also conscious at the time.

The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed that traffic remained moving in both directions. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
