A head-on collision on State Route 74 near Perris resulted in at least one person being ejected and another trapped inside a vehicle on Wednesday morning, February 19, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 6:00 a.m. in the 24000 block of West Highway 74 at Ellis Avenue in Good Hope, an unincorporated area of Riverside County.
Emergency responders, including Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters, arrived to find a Toyota Tacoma and a Chevrolet Malibu had collided head-on. Firefighters extricated at least one trapped occupant while paramedics treated multiple patients at the scene.
The condition of the injured individuals was not immediately released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Highway 74 was closed in both directions as emergency crews worked on the scene. Authorities advised drivers to seek alternate routes until further notice.
