A 35-year-old man from Vista was found dead next to a one-wheel electric skateboard on N Santa Fe in Vista on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
According to preliminary information, a passerby driving eastbound on the 2200 block of N Santa Fe discovered the unresponsive man lying in the roadway. It is suspected that he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
The passerby called 911 and remained at the scene until law enforcement and fire personnel arrived. Paramedics who responded to the incident confirmed the man’s death due to his injuries.
The cause of the incident is under investigation, and authorities are working to identify the vehicle involved.
