[03-14-2025] Two Big Rigs Collide in ‘Violent Impact’ Crash on Highway 152A crash involving two big rigs caused a “violent impact” on Highway 152 in Madera County early Friday morning, March 14, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the scene near Highway 152 and Highway 99, where they determined that a 31-year-old man driving a red 2019 Kenworth westbound on Highway 152 failed to notice a slowing 2020 Volvo with a box trailer ahead.

The Kenworth collided with the back of the Volvo’s trailer, causing the cab to separate from the chassis.

Despite the severity of the crash, both drivers were wearing seatbelts and did not sustain injuries.

CHP reminds the public to remain vigilant and avoid distractions while driving to prevent similar accidents.
