[03-17-2025] Two People Injured After 10-Vehicle Chain Reaction Crash on Highway 50Two adults suffered minor injuries in a 10-vehicle chain reaction crash that temporarily shut down westbound lanes on Highway 50 in Cameron Park, El Dorado County, on Monday evening, March 17, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 6:23 p.m. near Cambridge Road. Officials stated that weather conditions, including a significant amount of hail, may have played a role in the collision.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, and two injured adults were transported to a hospital for treatment. The crash briefly blocked lanes for about 10 minutes before traffic was cleared.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
