A townhouse resident sustained minor lacerations after a U-Haul moving truck crashed into the side of their home in Orange early Tuesday morning, April 22, 2025.
According to the Orange Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the area of East Lincoln Avenue and North Palm Avenue.
The large 15-foot U-Haul veered off the road, drove up a steep embankment, and struck the side of the building.
The driver, described as a thin white male, reportedly grabbed his dog and fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived. While no one sustained serious injuries, one resident was hurt by broken glass.
Building inspectors were called to evaluate the structural integrity of the impacted townhouse. Authorities are still searching for the driver.
