One man was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Road 216 and Avenue 264 in rural Tulare County on Tuesday night, April 22, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. when a Nissan Frontier traveling westbound on Avenue 264, west of Road 216, entered the eastbound lane for unknown reasons and collided with the left side of another vehicle heading eastbound.
The man driving the Nissan sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The other vehicle involved left the scene.
CHP investigators are working to determine the identity of the vehicle that fled. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Visalia CHP Office at (559) 734-6767.
The crash remains under investigation.
