Two drivers were killed following a head-on collision west of Modesto early Thursday morning, May 1, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:00 a.m. on Highway 132 near Hart Road.
Officers arriving at the scene found a white sedan on the north shoulder and a black sedan on the south shoulder, both with major damage.
Authorities said the white sedan was traveling westbound on Highway 132 when, for unknown reasons, it crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with the black sedan traveling eastbound.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.
It is currently unknown if DUI played a role in the crash. The CHP is investigating the incident.
