Two people were injured after a pickup truck crashed into a light pole in Santa Maria late Wednesday night, April 30, 2025.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the crash occurred at approximately 11:51 p.m. at the intersection of West Main Street and Black Road.
First responders used the jaws of life to extricate the driver, a man who sustained moderate to major injuries.
The passenger suffered minor injuries. Both individuals were transported by ambulance to Marian Medical Center for treatment.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
