A pedestrian and a dog were killed following a crash involving a vehicle at the intersection of Howard and 7th streets in San Francisco on Thursday afternoon, May 1, 2025.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 2:00 p.m. and found an adult victim suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to their injuries. A dog found at the scene was also pronounced dead.
Authorities stated that the driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police noted that drugs or alcohol do not appear to have been factors in the collision.
The case remains under investigation.
