A bicyclist was killed following a hit-and-run crash in Visalia on Saturday night, May 3, 2025.
According to the Visalia Police Department, the crash was reported at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Akers Street near Judy Avenue.
Officers arrived and found a bicycle and its injured rider in the roadway, but the vehicle involved had fled the scene.
Authorities said the 53-year-old rider was transported to Kaweah Health for treatment of serious injuries. However, he succumbed to his injuries and died on Sunday morning.
The Visalia Police Department is continuing to investigate the case and is seeking information regarding the vehicle and driver involved in the crash.
