[05-18-2025] San Joaquin County, CA – Five Pedestrians Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on West Sonora Street in Stockton

Five pedestrians were injured following a vehicle and pedestrian crash in Stockton on Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2025.

According to the Stockton Police Department, the incident occurred in the 500 block of West Sonora Street. 

Officers and emergency crews responded to the scene and found five adults who had been struck by a vehicle. The victims were identified as individuals aged 40, 41, 56, 62, and 67.

All five pedestrians were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the 62-year-old driver was found unconscious inside the vehicle. Narcan was administered successfully at the scene, and the driver regained consciousness.

Preliminary findings indicate that driving under the influence may have contributed to the crash. Authorities said there is currently no evidence to suggest that the pedestrians were intentionally targeted.

The incident remains under investigation by the Stockton Police Department.
