An electric bicycle rider was killed following a collision with a pickup truck in Santa Barbara on Sunday night, May 18, 2025.
According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:35 p.m. in the 1900 block of State Street.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the black pickup truck involved in the crash remained at the site and cooperated with authorities.
