A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash while walking along East Brundage Lane in Bakersfield on Saturday night, May 31, 2025.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of East Brundage Lane. A westbound vehicle struck the man as he walked in the roadway near the north shoulder.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office once the next of kin are notified.
The driver fled the scene, and it is currently unknown if speed or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
