[05-31-2025] 14-Year-Old Critically Injured in Pedestrian Crash on College Avenue in Santa RosaA 14-year-old boy was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Santa Rosa on Saturday night, May 31, 2025.

According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, several 911 calls were received around 10:20 p.m. about a pedestrian-vehicle collision near College Avenue and Beaver Street. 

The driver of the Honda Pilot involved also contacted dispatch, reporting that the boy was still lying in the roadway.

Police and Santa Rosa Fire Department paramedics arrived to find the boy unconscious in the westbound lanes of College Avenue. He was rushed to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries and later transferred to another trauma center in the Bay Area, where he remained in critical condition as of Monday.

Authorities said the driver was cooperative and showed no signs of impairment. She stated she was traveling westbound when the boy entered the roadway from the north side. It remains unclear whether he was in a crosswalk. Investigators believe he may have been riding a skateboard and was accompanied by another child.

The investigation is ongoing.
