A woman was killed, and another woman was injured following a DUI-related crash in San Jose on Wednesday morning, June 11, 2025.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the incident occurred around 1:50 a.m. on the 800 block of Tully Road near Galveston Avenue.
A blue 2015 Toyota sedan, occupied by a male driver and two female passengers, was traveling eastbound when the driver veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
The two women were transported to a local hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The second passenger sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
Authorities stated that the driver was treated at the scene before being taken into custody for vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
